About Tom's Studio

Tom’s Studio was founded with a simple mission: to create better tools for creativity – beautifully designed, refillable, and made to last. The brand began when founder Tom Gyr, a product designer by trade, set out to make a better pen for his wife, a professional calligrapher, after realising that mass-produced plastic tools didn’t match the quality of her work.

Drawing on his background in product design and hands-on making, Tom created a pen she loved using every day. From that first handmade tool, Tom’s Studio has grown into a fast-growing stationery and creative tools company, shipping to over 90 countries via its website tomsstudio.com, and stocked by leading retailers and independent stores worldwide.

How to care for your brushes
  • Gently wipe your brush on a lint-free cloth to remove excess colour after use.
  • Rinse in cool running water to wash off remaining colour, using a little mild soap if needed.
  • Pat dry, gently reshape the tip with your fingers, and allow the brush to dry flat or with the bristles facing upwards.
  • Light staining of the bristles is normal and will not affect performance.
