It also is hefty enough so that no paint bleeds through to the other pages. The pages are really compact, so you peel back the edge of the paper after a project and reveal a fresh piece just underneath."

Why wasn't I always using this?
"As a fairly new watercolor painter, I had never used a watercolor block. I had always used single sheets on easels and now, I can't figure out why! With this block, I don't need an easel, the paper stays nice and flat, and there is no curling of edges. Also, I now understand why quality paper is important. I didn't experience the fiber piling and pulling like it does on other paper. Not even after multiple layers of colors. The slightly rough texture absorbed the colors well. Mostly, I loved that even after repeated sketching and erasing, the paper didn't pill up. I loved painting on this."
