Andrea Da Rocha
Andrea has nurtured a passion for art since childhood. After studying Architecture, she developed a creative approach that she now applies to interior design, where illustrations inspire and communicate her projects. She firmly believes that hand-drawing remains the most authentic way to bring ideas to life.
Step 1
Lightly draw in your layout. Draw the basic shapes of your design using a 0.1 fineliner
Step 2
Colour the surface using the lightest colour as a base For certain objects (carpet / sofa cushions) you can make textured strokes.
Step 3
Use darker tones to add shadows and emphasize textures: carpet, fabrics, wood, glass and seats of the armchairs.
Step 4
Add even darker tones to the most shaded areas to create depth, and use a ruler to outline the entire panelling space
Step 5
Apply shadows with vertical strokes to panelling. Outline with 0.3 Fineliners for faraway objects; 0.8 for lines closer.
