The unique Winsor & Newton sculpted handle with a matt finish provides the ultimate comfort and control while painting. The central dip on this short handled brush allows the brush to sit comfortably in your hand while the second curve of the brush handle allows for different painting positions.

This unique blend of synthetic bristles has been developed to replicate the colour carrying capacity of a natural sable brush. With colour flowing evenly and consistently, the brush allows for flowing brush strokes.

"The depth and lightness of colour was excellent on a painting of a rose and an artichoke. The brushes are ideal for my more detailed work with the shorter brush. There was an issue with delivery but when I rang to find out where it was, they were very polite and explained that they had an issue with the picking machine."

"I absolutely LOVE these brushes! Probably my most used brushes for watercolour, these synthetic professional brushes hold water well, have excellent 'snap' but also not too rigid. When they brought these out a few years ago, I immediately bought some and I could really feel the difference. They never splay or have random fibres sticking out, I dont have to keep repeatedly dipping them in water when I'm working (I especially use them for fine detail work) aesthetically, I love that the handles are a soft grey shade and as an artist who is prone to really gripping handles tightly, the ergonomic design makes me hold them a bit looser without loosing control. Really pleased to have these as part of my art practice"
